The developer of Clash of Clans and Clash Royale – the Finnish company Supercell – canceled an upcoming event for fans of their games.
Information about this appeared in the official blog of the game Clash Royale. The developers explain their decision by the fact that this year they decided to focus on working on the projects themselves.
“This year we decided to thank the players by focusing on things that the entire Clash community will benefit from — game improvements,” the company said.
Earlier, the analytical company Superdata wrote that sales of both Clash titles fell from April to July inclusive. Apparently, the cancellation of the event is connected with the need to correct the situation.
This year’s ClashCon, which has been held since 2014, was supposed to take place in Los Angeles. Last year, the venue was the city of Helsinki.
ClashCon is primarily aimed at the core of the Supercell audience, where the latter can chat with developers, compete with each other and just have a good time.
