At the end of this month, a conference for game developers Talents In Games will be held in Minsk. The other day, its organizers shared the program. Among the speakers are Vizor, Belka and Banzai.
About the event
The key difference between Talents In Games and any other gaming events is the focus on specialists. The conference is primarily devoted to reports and analysis of the nuances of creating games. There is no business part and stories about marketing. Talents In Games is only about games and how to make them better.
By the way, since Talents In Games is designed for gaming employees, and not for business owners, the ticket price is much lower than for other game events. It is only $15. This is about 950 Russian rubles and about 30 Belarusian rubles.
How will it go
The event will take place one day in two streams. The first stream is devoted to work on art (for artists), the second — to technical details and code (for programmers).
Program
We shared the first details of the event back in September. Then we told in detail about the participation:
- Concept art specialist Jama Jurabaev, who has worked with Industrial Light & Magic and Lucasfilm;
- artist Ivan Smirnov, who heads his own school Smirnov School.
Now the details of the program have become known. We will note part of the reports:
- the chief materials artist of Vizor Games, Zakhar Shcherbov, will talk about working with PBR materials in Unreal Engine 4, as well as about procedural texturing;
- The leading UI specialist of Belka Games, Polina Navnyko, will explain what qualities game teams expect from 2d artists today when it comes to developing a casual game;
- Dmitry Fofanov, head of the Banzai Games technical team, will share his experience in implementing a mathematical model for ragdoll physics;
- Vadim Yantbelidze, Technical Director of HighCore Games, will talk about the cases in the development of the mobile PvP game Tanks a Lot!.
