The St. Petersburg company shared the results of the Winter Nights: Mobile Games Conference, held on February 7-8 in St. Petersburg.
As we have already written, this time the conference managed to achieve a truly international scale. In total, more than 700 people from 22 countries took part in it. Among them are game developers and publishers, representatives of mobile platforms and advertising networks, promotion specialists and monetization gurus from the USA, Europe, Canada, China, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia and India.
On the first day of the WN Conference, in addition to two-stream reports and active networking, the WN Mobile Games Awards were held – an award for professional merits in the field of mobile games.
- Big Fish became the best publisher;
- the best advertising platform is Google Ads;
- The MobileAppTracking service became the winner in the Analytical Platform category;
- best sound in games – Strategic Music;
- The title of the leading localization service was awarded to Holdson & McCooper;
- in the “Payment Solution” category, PayPal takes the first place.
The winners of the contest for the best mobile game were also announced. Among all the applications submitted by a closed vote, the independent jury of the competition identified three of the most promising projects:
- the first place and a prize of $ 15,000 was awarded to Alis Games for the game Need a Hero
- second place and $10,000 awarded Mail.ru Games for the Evolution project: Battle for Utopia
- Nravo Inc. closes the top three winners with the game Give My Ball Back and a cash prize of $ 5,000.
The contest was sponsored by Nevosoft. Separately, we will highlight the speakers of the Winter Nights conference, which was so awaited in Russia. “We are proud that we continue to be the first to bring cool speakers to Russia. This time there were: Greg Ballard from Warner Bros., Tommy Palm from King, Charles Cecil from Revolutionary Software, Jaime Ocampo from DeNA and many others,” said Yulia Lebedeva, Chief coordinator of the WN Mobile Games Conference and Director of Business Development at Nevosoft.

WN Mobile Games Conference is Europe’s largest international conference for developers and publishers of games on mobile platforms. It has been held in St. Petersburg since 2012 twice a year: in winter and in summer. In winter it takes place under the name Winter Nights, in summer – White Nights.
