Creative Mobile анонсировала GameDev Days 2016

The fourth GameDev Days 2016 will be held on April 8-9 in Tallinn. This time, Creative Mobile is doing the event entirely on its own. Earlier, it was held with the support of Tallinn University.

Creative Mobile Business Development Manager Marianna Kryakvina told us about the details of the future event.

Marianna-Kryakvina

Marianna KryakvinaWhat will change compared to the previous confa?

First, the content. This year the main theme of the conference will be Indie Heroes. We will look at the cases of successful indie projects, analyze the entire development process, starting from the creation of the concept to the release of the product to the market. We will pay more attention to game design, graphic design and community management.

Secondly, the location. This year the conference will be held at the Sokos Hotel Viru – in the heart of Tallinn.

Thirdly, prices. I would like to pay special attention to the fact that the cost of participation has significantly decreased compared to last year. The price of a standard ticket is only 50 euros, which is significantly lower than the cost of tickets for events of a similar format in other European countries. Early Bird discount on all types of tickets is valid until the end of February.

Fourth, there are more opportunities for companies to participate. With the move to a new hall, we can offer more opportunities to companies (in terms of placing booths at the conference).

It will remain the same: the exhibition of Game Village projects (you can apply for free participation on the conference website) and a welcoming atmosphere, a rich program and dizzying parties.

Are you going to spend more than once a year in the future?

So far, we have no plans to hold GameDev Days more than once a year. However, at the initiative of IGDA Estonia, smaller-scale events are being held in Tallinn. These include IndieDev Days and Game Jam.

What number of participants do you expect?

We expect about 500 participants. These will mainly be developers from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden and Russia.

Are there any major speakers already known?

We will announce the speakers closer to the end of February. So far, Alexey Savchenko (Epic Games), Teddy Florea (Nordic Game) and Oscar Clark (Unity) have already confirmed their participation.
