On February 13-14, the Czech capital will host the White Nights game development conference. On the first day, a round table will be held about the gaming user experience and interface. At the conference, specialists of successful foreign companies will discuss the features of modern gaming UX and UI. Among them: SYBO, Obsidian Entertainment, Remedy Entertainment and tinyBuild.
Natalia Rebrova
Natalia Rebrova will be from SYBO, the developer of the most downloaded Subway Surfers mobile game.
Before moving to Copenhagen in 2016, she created the interface style of the tactical game X-mercs from Game Insight, and also worked for two years in the St. Petersburg daughter of Wargaming.
Kilan Cats
The authors of Pillars of Eternity will be presented by Kylan Coats, who is currently responsible at Obsidian Entertainment for the UI of the yet-to-be-announced project.
He put his hand to the interface solutions of Armored Warfare, and before that he was responsible for all the windows and menus of the browser D&D: Heroes of Neverwinter.
Rio Kroll
Rio Kroll (Riho Kroll) now works at Remedy, known for the series Max Payne, Alan Wake and Quantum Break.
He joined the Finns a year ago after five years at Crytek, four of which he devoted to creating VR interfaces. The UI in Games Robinson and The Climb is his work (on the cover of the news).
Andrey Podoprigora
The round table will be moderated by Andrey Podoprigora, producer of tinyBuild, one of the pioneers in publishing indie projects.
Earlier, Andrey headed the studio A-steroids founded by him for a long time, including working on a battler based on a series of domestic comics published by Bubble Comics.
The participants will touch on topics such as the first steps when working on the interface, debugging and problems of building UX/UI processes, introducing the idea that design should be user-oriented into the company’s culture, and also share their experience in solving various problems.
