HTML5 Game Developer Day will be held in two weeks. This is an event for creating HTML5 games. Among the speakers are representatives of Cocos, Snap, Facebook, SoftGames, CoolGames, Odnoklassniki and many other companies.
Why is the event about HTML5?
Today HTML5 remains the current standard for mobile and web games. Exclusively in this format, games for social networks and platforms such as, for example, Facebook Instant Games are published.
Given the continued demand for such products from platforms, as well as the high interest in the topic from developers, WN Media Group decided to organize a free one-day HTML5 event.
It will be held on July 7. It will be possible to find publishers, investors or partners, get professional feedback, as well as establish or strengthen relationships with platforms and engines.
Important: developers will also be able to submit their project to a virtual exhibition as part of the event. It will be easier for publishers and platforms to notice it there.
What about the reports?
There will also be a traditional lecture part. The reports will go in one stream. The schedule has not been published yet, but some speakers are already known. Among them:
Huabin Ling is the Technical director of Cocos. He will tell you about the latest Cocos2d-x and Cocos Creator tools for working with three-dimensional graphics for HTML5.
Evgeny Polotnyanko is the head of the Odnoklassniki social network gaming platform, which has been actively developing the HTML5 direction in recent years.
Pedro Rodriguez is the head of Snap Inc. for gaming partnerships in EMEA. In short, he is looking for projects for the Snapchat gaming component. He will be able to tell about the features of the site.
Laurence Rutten is the CEO of CoolGames publishing house, which specializes exclusively in HTML5 projects. The team launched games, including in Asian messengers.
Also, the lecture sessions will be attended by: Mojiworks, Facebook, SoftGames, Black Snowflake, WeQ Influencers. But this is a preliminary list. New speakers will be announced soon.
Something else?
Now the Odnoklassniki social network, together with VKontakte and My World, is just holding a competition for the best HTML5 game with a prize fund of 2 million rubles. We wrote about it in detail in April.
