It became known about a new large-scale competition for game developers. This time it is held by WN Conference with the active support of Unreal Engine and the Reboot Development conference.
WN Dev Contest
The contest is called WN Dev Contest.
It is aimed at developers from European countries, including Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. You can apply for participation in it until January 31, 2021 (in other words, participants have a little less than two months to prepare the build).
Unreal Engine 4 projects that are in the prototype, alpha, beta, softphone or early access stages will be accepted. At the same time, there are two fundamental conditions. They will not be allowed to participate:
- projects released in full release before November 30, 2020;
- the winners of the Unreal Engine Developer Contest from Disgusting Men (this rule does not apply to other participants of this contest).
WN Dev Contest will be held with the support of sponsors. Among them: Unreal Engine, Xsolla, Meta Publishing, G-Core Labs, 1C Entertainment, Untold Tales, Skystone Games, Wargaming and other companies.
The winners will be selected by a jury of experts.

The procedure will take place in several stages:
- On February 10, the projects that got into the quarterfinals will be named;
- On March 10, the names of the projects that have made it to the semifinals will be announced;
- On April 13, the jury will inform about those who got to the final;
- The award ceremony will be held on April 29.
At the end of the competition, each of the sponsors will name their best game. There will also be a separate award — Audience Choice.
Each sponsor has its own prizes. For example, Unreal Engine will provide 10 custom licenses for its engine. There will also be cash prizes. Xsolla is ready to distribute $170,000 in cash and another $130,000 in services among the winners, and 1C Entertainment will allocate €15,000 and a publishing contract to its favorite. Meta Publishing and Untold Tales will give $5 thousand each.
