This year, the editorial team at App2Top.ru is hosting its own gaming awards. It's called the App2Top Awards and it recognizes the achievements of gaming teams from the CIS. The editorial team invites its readers to select the nominees.
The award has eight categories:
- Steam Game of the Year — games are nominated if their full release occurred in 2026 (excluding early access), have a Steam rating of over 80%, and have more than a thousand user reviews;
- Console Game of the Year — games released on consoles in 2026 are nominated if they received a critic score above 70% on Metacritic;
- Mobile Game of the Year — free-to-play mobile games released in 2026 are nominated if they amassed an audience of over 100,000 people with a rating of at least 4.5 on any mobile platform;
- Web Game of the Year — web games released in 2026 are nominated if they have gathered more than 100,000 ratings on any web platform;
- Breakthrough of the Year — a release that was so successful that it significantly changed the developer studio's standing in the gaming world;
- Developer of the Year — gaming companies are nominated if they had at least one significant release in 2026 (regardless of whether it was a full release or early access);
- Publisher of the Year — gaming publishers are nominated if they released at least five games in 2026 that achieved financial success;
- Employer of the Year — gaming companies are nominated if they are actively hiring and avoided significant staff layoffs in 2026.
Anyone can propose a nominee. The main thing is that they meet the specified criteria.
Nominations can be submitted via this link.
Nominations will be collected until November 6. After that, the App2Top editorial team will review the nominees, possibly add some, and publish the final lists.
Games of the Year will be chosen through a reader vote, while Companies of the Year will be determined by participants in the "Year-End 2026" section.
In mid-December, after both votings conclude, the App2Top editorial team will announce the winners during a special live stream and send them commemorative awards.
More about the awards can be found on the App2Top Awards 2026 page.
