In the era of the coronavirus, Twitch has become even more in demand. And streamers use it. Since February, 89% more videos containing messages from sponsors have appeared on the site.
Gamesight analysts write about this in their new report. According to their data:
- Content consumption on Twitch has almost doubled since February, and increased by 79% compared to the beginning of the year%;
- in April, the number of minutes viewed reached a peak of 3.64 billion minutes per day (compared to 2 billion minutes daily in February);
- the growth of audience engagement, as well as a greater flow of sponsored videos, has led to the fact that content with advertising inserts attracts more and more attention. Twitch users now interact with such videos 23% more often;
- there is also an increase in the number of advertisers. The number of games whose streams contain sponsored content has increased by 21%.
