The analytical company Newzoo summed up the results of 2015. The volume of the global mobile gaming market has reached $30 billion, and China has become the largest mobile gaming market in the world.
The year coming to an end has become the most successful for the mobile gaming industry in history, according to Newzoo experts. Compared to 2014, the volume of the global mobile market grew by 23% and reached $30 billion. Of this amount, $20.6 billion falls on smartphones and $9.4 billion on tablets.
The Asian segment of the mobile gaming market, unlike the Western one, continues to grow rapidly. The market volume in Southeast Asia grew by a total of 69%, in China – by 46%, while Western markets showed an increase of 10-15%.
China has become a leader in revenue from mobile games. Japan is in second place. The USA took the third place.
