Users of Amazon’s mobile devices tend to spend more on games than owners of iOS or Android smartphones, according to a study conducted by the analytical firm Newzoo.

Almost 64% of Amazon Fire phone and tablet owners spend their money on games. For comparison, among iPad and iPhone users, the percentage of those paying is 57.1% and 47.7%. Android completes the list – only 36.5% of those who download games on Google Play, pay for them or make an IAP.

At the same time, the percentage of whales, that is, those who spend large amounts of money, Amazon has 8.1% of the total, that is, almost the same as the iPad (8.7%).

Thus, Newzoo concludes, projects for Amazon may unexpectedly be profitable for developers. They have a relatively small user base, but the revenue from them is higher.

In addition, the study contains several other interesting conclusions. For example, Newzoo found out that the number of paying users among men is greater than among women. Mobile games attract users of both sexes equally. Men are more inclined to make in-game purchases at the same time.
