Two months after the launch, Genshin Impact still holds the title of the best-selling mobile game in the world, not counting Honor of Kings. During this time, she collected $393 million only in the App Store and Google Play.


This was reported in a new report by Sensor Tower. In it, analysts also noted that despite great success, Genshin Impact’s revenue is gradually declining.

In its premiere month, the game was leading the world’s top revenue ($245 million), overtaking even such blockbusters as Honor of Kings and PUBG Mobile. In the second month of sales, the title miHoYo earned less ($148 million). As a result, in October, the game became only the third in the world in terms of revenue from mobile.

The total revenues of the project in the period from September 28 to November 28 ($ 393 million) provide it with the second place in the top of the highest-grossing mobile games.

  • For the entire two months of Genshin Impact’s existence, Chinese gamers were responsible for the largest part of revenue — $120 million (30.5%);
  • the second place in terms of player spending went to Japan — $98 million (25%), and the third was the United States — $74 million (18.8%);
  • In each of these markets, including South Korea, Genshin Impact has ranked fifth in terms of mobile game revenue since its release;
  • App Store users generated more than half of the title’s total revenue. They accounted for about $226 million (57.5%).
