It seems that guild mechanics are now the lot of not only midcore projects. The opportunity to join a guild is increasingly being added to casual titles.
According to GameRefinery, in 50 of the top 200 casual games on iOS, players can join guilds. Among the first hundred casual projects in the same App Store, the guild has 33 games.
Analysts note that guild mechanics used to be used mostly in midcore projects. Casual games were based on simpler social functions — gifts to friends, high score tables, etc.
But the situation is changing, and now guilds appear in various casual titles (for example, the popular match-3 from Playrix). Together with them, a more serious cooperative is being introduced — joint tasks for guild members and tournaments between guilds.
