A new game classification system has appeared in the DataMagic analytics service. When evaluating the market, it is now possible to display games not only by genre, but also by subgenre (in fact, the mechanics used in the game), as well as the setting.

Information about the update appeared yesterday in the official group of the service.

The new functionality will be useful to those developers who are just starting to develop a new project, and now they are evaluating the market, studying real and possible competitors.

For example, if a team is interested in developing a bubble shooter in a fairy-tale setting, it can select the Bubble Shooter and Fairy tags, after which the service will display a list of games corresponding to these criteria in chart format.

A similar study can be conducted if the studio is considering developing a survival game about zombies. DataMagic has segmentation keywords such as Survival and Zombie.

The service group also reports that now his team needs feedback on the new functionality.
