Steam has updated its own Christmas record for the number of simultaneous users. On December 25, there were 23 million users on the network. This is almost one and a half times more than at Christmas 2019.
Valve managed to achieve such an indicator in many ways thanks to the pandemic, Daniel Ahmad believes. The analyst noted that earlier during the Catholic Christmas, the peak of online Steam never exceeded 20 million people.

- 2018 — 15.3 million users
- 2017 — 16.2 million users
- 2016 — 12.5 million users
- 2015 — 10.5 million users
Nevertheless, Steam has not yet managed to break its own record for peak online activity outside of Christmas. His store was installed on December 12, when 24.78 million people were online at the same time.
