We continue to review the results of 2024 with experts and teams from the gaming industry. Next up is an interview with Alexey Meleshkevich, the founder of the studio Goodville.
How was the year for the company? What achievements would you like to highlight?
The year was excellent! We became profitable, grew almost 80%, and launched new features.
We also continue to experiment successfully (testing at all stages of acquisition and retention, from creatives to monetization — pricing, content, and the logic of offering custom deals).
The main achievement is our assistance to people: thousands of grateful reviews confirm that we truly change lives for the better. We frequently receive feedback from people saying that Goodville really helps them cope with difficulties, makes life easier during tough periods, and brings joy.
How has the situation in the gaming market changed, in your view?
The market has become more stable: unprofitable projects have disappeared. However, the overall atmosphere remains challenging. No signs of a rapid growth spurt are visible yet.
How was the year for the genre in which you work?
Our genre is literally "evergreen": there are always growth opportunities. Goodville is currently in the top 5 in the "farm-adventure" category. This is a significant step forward for us!

The genre remains complex and expensive to develop, but with the right approach, it brings success. The current focus is on live ops, where temporary events and unique offerings set the tone.
What reinforcement or emergence of trends in your niche do you expect in 2025?
We expect the emergence of more effective ways of user acquisition. Games for modern messengers or projects using blockchain might take off. If Steam and consoles refine precise attribution, these markets could grow significantly stronger.
What are the company's plans for the coming year?
We will continue experimenting with marketing and game design, scaling successful solutions, and enhancing social features. We plan to double our growth and continue to develop live ops.
We will also continue our collaboration with the WHO: since July 2022, we have been closely working with the World Health Organization. As part of this collaboration, we are adding new characters who share daily tips with players on maintaining a healthy lifestyle (all materials are provided by WHO). This level of cooperation is unique for the gaming industry. We are planning a major update soon as part of our collaboration.
Stay tuned for announcements. We are proud and cherish our partners in the mental health field, striving to be not only interesting but also beneficial.
