We continue to wrap up the year 2024 with gaming (or gaming industry-related) teams. Next in line is an interview with Kian Hozouri, the COO and co-founder of the analytics service ByteBrew.
What kind of year has it been for the company? What achievements would you like to highlight?
The year 2024 has been a record-breaking year for us. ByteBrew has entered the top 10 most popular SDKs for mobile games.
We are currently analyzing over 50 billion data points daily.
This year, we also released the ByteBrew SDK for web games, which includes tools for product analytics and LiveOps.
In total, we released over 100 updates to our tools.
How has the analytics market changed over the year?
The market for analytics tools for games has undergone significant changes: many platforms have raised prices, reformatted their plans by removing or reducing important features, and some platforms have completely shut down.
What strengthening or emergence of trends in gaming analytics do you expect in 2025?
In 2024, we witnessed a transition from hyper-casual to hybrid-casual games, where monetization strategies shifted from advertising to a mixed model (ads and IAP), with a noticeable increase in revenue percentage from purchases.
As for trends in game analysis, we predict that studios will prioritize more in-depth analysis of new data on player retention and engagement, using tools that allow for such analysis.
What are the company's plans for the coming year?
In 2025, we plan to deepen the capabilities of existing ByteBrew tools and release new products that will help game developers more effectively scale and monetize their portfolios within a single platform.
