We continue to summarize the results of 2024 with gaming (or gaming industry-related) teams and experts. Up next is an interview with Jan Yankelevich, Business Development Director at Overmobile.

How did the year turn out for the company? What achievements would you like to highlight?

The year was good for the company. We continue to grow in the web market and are actively expanding on Google Play and the App Store.

We have successfully launched the technical rollout of our new battler on iOS and Android platforms.

Our browser project Magic World reached new company records in revenue and performed well on the Playdeck gaming platform, available in Telegram.

Magic World

How has the situation in the gaming market changed from your perspective?

In my personal opinion, which aligns with that of the industry's experts, the market is searching for new growth points as the classic markets have become saturated.

One of these points is HTML5 platforms and projects. Browser games, thanks to modern technologies, especially the new version of Unity, may experience another renaissance.

I cannot overlook the influence of Telegram on the web game development market. For us, it's a new ocean of opportunities and users.

How did the year turn out for the genre in which you operate?

We operate in the mid-core niche. The year was stable for us, with growth on new platforms such as Telegram Mini Apps and mobile operator platforms.

In games of our genre, the primary focus is on constant improvement and live operations. Our oldest game is 13 years old. Over all these years, new players continue to join, and veteran players continue to visit and spend money in it.

Pocket Tower

What strengthening or emergence of trends in your niche do you expect in 2025?

The transition of many projects to the web. Major portals will increasingly focus on mid-core games in browsers.

Throughout 2024, we observed interest in such projects from mobile network operators, for example, from Beeline. I am sure it will intensify.

Major web game portals, such as Crazy Games, will continue experimenting with IAP monetization.

What are the company's plans for the coming year?

  • Continue operating current projects and creating new ones.
  • Take a leading position among mid-core projects on Telegram.
  • Actively promote our games on web portals worldwide.
