We are publishing a new list with gaming vacancies. This week they are wanted: a narrative designer at Daily Magic, a leading UA manager at Dankolab and a UX designer at Funky Monkey Studio.

Marina LopatinaNarrative Designer at Daily Magic (Remote work)


Daily Magic is a subsidiary of Playrix, which has been developing games since 2009. For about eight years, she worked with the Hiddens under Big Fish, later made VR games and visual novels, and is now engaged in the development of top Playrix projects.

Responsibilities:

  • development of the general scenario part of stories for events and features;
  • creating character descriptions, their motivation and thoughts, writing dialogues and other game texts;
  • elaboration of the plot and visual content of locations;
  • creating a high-quality gaming experience together with game designers.

Requirements:

  • at least 1.5 years of experience as a narrative game designer or screenwriter;
  • experience in writing scripts, texts and dialogues;
  • knowledge of plotting techniques and motivations of heroes, understanding of the concept of “hero’s journey”;
  • the ability, if necessary, to write briefly, keeping the essence;
  • competent written speech;
  • the advantage will be the knowledge of Articy Draft.

FarmscapesLeading UA Manager of Dankolab (Remote work)


Dankolab is a studio that has been developing mobile games and applications for over 10 years.

She has about 100 projects on her account for iOS and Android, including Interior Story and “TNTmania”.

Responsibilities:

  • development of procurement on dedicated channels to achieve KPIs (through the leadership of UA managers and independent connection in focus areas);
  • mentoring UA managers;
  • development of relations with partners;
  • development of algorithms for working with channels to increase their qualitative and quantitative results.

Requirements:

  • purchase experience of at least two years;
  • understanding the principles of Facebook Ads (owned by an organization banned in the Russian Federation), Google Ads, SDK Networks (Unity, Applovin and ironSource);
  • experience of leading UA managers;
  • English at Intermediate level and above.

“TNTmania”UX designer in Funky Monkey Studio (Remote work)


Funky Monkey Studio is a mobile game development studio that opened in 2017.

At the moment, she is developing two projects:

  • Hattori: Battle Clash is an online PvP 3D MMORPG battle in a fantasy setting;
  • “Monkeys” is a mix of match-3 and tetris. The meta of the game is tied to the customization of the character.

Responsibilities:

  • market research and competitor analysis;
  • development of layouts and prototypes;
  • designing the flow of interaction with the interface and the flow of emotions;
  • making recommendations for improving the interface and reasoning solutions;
  • communication with the product owner, game designer and the rest of the development team.

Requirements:

  • at least two years of experience as a UX designer;
  • availability of a portfolio with UI/UX works from game projects;
  • knowledge of design tools (e.g. Figma and Sketch);
  • analytical skills and the ability to draw clear conclusions from feedback;
  • understanding and taking into account three points of vision in work: user, business and development;
  • passion for mobile games;
  • very good communication skills.
