Games for children: point of view

According to the latest NPD Group study, 91% of children aged 2 to 17 years in the United States play computer games – this is 9% more than in 2009. In absolute numbers, this is about 64 million people. At the same time, more and more children are playing games on mobile devices. Does this mean that educational apps for children are a promising direction?

We analyzed how many applications appeared in the Games subcategories in a month (from August 4 to September 4, 2011). This information will allow you to assess the level of competition in each of them and choose the most “profitable” section when the game is released. It is logical to assume that the fewer applications there are next to yours, the more likely it will be noticed.
