Zynga wins patent dispute with IGT slot machine software developer

A court in Texas found that Zynga did not violate the patent rights of International Game Technology (IGT), which develops games and other software for slot machines. IGT claimed that Zynga illegally used one of its technologies in the Hit It Rich, Black Diamond Casino and Game of Thrones Slots Casino games.

IGT sells Double Down Studio for $825 million

The manufacturer of slot machines International Game Technology has sold the studio-developer of social casinos Double Down Interactive to South Korean DoubleU Games for $825 million.
