Paradox Interactive employees will be taken care of by two leading Swedish trade unions at once. The publisher will sign an agreement with Unionen and SACO organizations.
The unions will provide benefits and new opportunities to employees from all divisions, including Paradox Interactive, Paradox Development Studio, Paradox Arctic and Paradox Malmö. This is reported by Gamesindustry.biz .
In recent years, the publisher has grown significantly. For example, the other day he opened the seventh subsidiary studio – Paradox Tinto. It was the rapid expansion of the publisher that justified the upcoming cooperation with trade unions.
“Even when we are moving towards larger teams and projects, all our employees should feel valuable to the company,” said Marina Hedman, Human Resources Director at Paradox Interactive.
The agreement with Unionen and SACO will come into force by the end of the current quarter.
Note that not all countries have developers who can count on trade unions. The world’s first gaming trade union Game Workers Unite appeared in the UK a little over a year ago. In one of the largest markets — the USA — there is still no organization representing the interests of game developers.
