Viber messenger has launched a gaming platform of the same name on iOS and Android, according to the company’s blog.
Viber Games is already available in Belarus, Ukraine, Israel, Singapore and Malaysia. It is expected that the service will be launched in Russia on December 20. In other countries, it will appear at the beginning of next year.
The first games on Viber Games were Viber Candy Mania and Viber Pop from Storm8 studio and Wild Luck Casino from Playtika team. The main characters in them are recognizable characters from the Viber Sticker Market sticker store. All titles are distributed under the shareware model.
The games have social elements: competitions with friends, high score tables, the ability to send virtual gifts, and so on.
In future Viber projects, according to the Gameindustry resource.biz, intends to use other characters from the Viber Sticker Market sticker store. The company has not yet named which other studios will cooperate with it.
