Twitch has announced that it will stop making payments to Russian streamers for now. The reason is sanctions against Russian banks and problems with payment methods.
Such a “letter of happiness” was published today in Telegram by streamer Alexey “JesusAVGN” Gubanov.
The platform’s message says that payments have been stopped inconclusively. You can still receive them, but for this you need to choose a new payment method (which was not sanctioned). If the streamer fails to change the method, Twitch “will do everything possible to pay the earned income as soon as it is allowed to do so.”
Recall that VTB, Sberbank, Otkritie, Promsvyazbank, Alfa-Bank, Rosselkhoznadzor and a number of other banks were sanctioned. PayPal also stopped working in Russia.
