Apple traditionally does not consider applications in the App Store Connect during the holidays. However, this year the company decided to make an exception — it will be possible to submit an update request for its application even at Christmas. Developers are still advised to hurry up.Apple told about this on November 8, publishing a small blog post for developers.

This year, applications via the App Store Connect will be accepted, including in the periods from November 24 to 28 (Thanksgiving Day) and from December 23 to 27 (Catholic Christmas). The service will operate normally, but the approval process of applications may be delayed these days.

“Make sure you have prepared updates for your apps before the start of the busiest season on the App Store. We expect a large volume of applications, so plan to send urgent materials in advance,” Apple said.

Developers usually try to have time to release all the necessary updates before the big holidays. It is during these periods that people usually receive new devices or gift cards, and therefore this is a great chance for the creators of games and applications to attract new users to them.
