Netflix has started testing gaming features on its platform. The first mobile titles really appeared on the streaming service. However, so far only subscribers from Poland can play them.Starting from August 26, two titles became available to Polish users — Stranger Things: 1984 and Stranger Things 3. You can play them through the Netflix app for Android.
Judging by the first information, we are not talking about cloud gaming — titles need to be downloaded to devices.
According to the company, this is only the first step in the development of the service as a platform not only for video streaming, but also gaming. When the titles will appear in other regions is not specified yet.
Both games are available to all holders of a standard Netflix subscription. The company, as promised, does not charge users extra money for new features. Also, there are no ads and in-app purchases in the titles that have appeared on the platform.
