As part of the financial report, Konami recalled that recently its collectible card game Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel generated 30 million downloads. We decided to see how the project is doing with revenue.
Recall that Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel was released in January on Android, iOS, PC and consoles. We got acquainted with the situation only in mobile. It is unknown how much the game earns on “big” platforms.
According to AppMagic, the mobile version of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel received about two—thirds of its revenue at the start – in the first two months since its release. All this time, the title earned at least $600 thousand daily. On some days, its revenue exceeded $1.5 million.
Then, in mid-March, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel’s earnings sank. They fluctuated on average at the level of $ 200-$ 300 thousand until the beginning of May. On May 10 alone, the game earned $1.49 million. Most likely, such a growth spurt is associated with the Fusion Festival 2022 event and the appearance of thematic collections in honor of it.
Now the ARPU of the mobile Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is $10.42 (taking into account 6.9 million downloads on smartphones).
