Xsolla announced the acquisition of the Italian platform GamePix, which specializes in the publishing and distribution of browser games.

Xsolla reported the acquisition on October 29. However, according to the press release, GamePix became part of the company back in August 2026. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

GamePix has been operating since 2013. Currently, its catalog consists of over 10,000 browser games, and the number of developers collaborating with the platform exceeds 4,000. The company distributes projects through its website, applications, and a network of partners, including media companies and telecommunications operators.

Additionally, GamePix possesses its own technology for porting games to browsers on both PC and mobile devices. It supports projects created with Unity and C++, and according to the company, it can reduce the amount of data downloaded by up to 90% without the need to install the game on the device.

Following the integration with Xsolla, GamePix developers will gain access to its payment infrastructure. The companies plan to combine tools for publishing, distributing, and monetizing games into a single platform.

Xsolla places a particular emphasis on projects created with generative AI. The company claims that developers of such games will be able to connect to GamePix’s infrastructure directly from AI tools and publish projects within minutes.

Chris Hewish, President of Xsolla, explained that the acquisition of GamePix is intended to help developers more quickly launch games in browsers and reach audiences. According to him, the company aims to work with both large holders of PC and mobile game catalogs, as well as small teams using AI for development.
