The multiplayer tank shooter World of Tanks Blitz has turned ten years old. In an interview with VentureBeat, MS-1 Studios (Wargaming) General Manager Thaine Lyman shared that the game has joined the ranks of "unicorns," with its total revenue surpassing one billion dollars.

He also mentioned that players from around the world have downloaded World of Tanks Blitz more than 180 million times.
Wargaming released World of Tanks Blitz in June 2014. Initially, the game was launched on mobile devices, but over time it also became available on PC and Nintendo Switch. How the revenue and downloads are distributed across platforms was not disclosed.
