The media company Warner Bros. Discovery has acquired another gaming team. It announced the purchase of Player First Games, the studio that developed the fighting game MultiVersus.

The amount and full terms of the deal are unknown. The founders of Player First Games, Tony Huynh and Chris White, will continue to lead the studio, but they will now report to Carlos Barbosa, Vice President of Warner Bros. Games San Diego.

It is worth noting that Warner Bros. Discovery and Player First Games have been partners for the past few years. Warner Bros. Discovery published MultiVersus, and many characters in the fighting game are created under its licenses. According to Huynh, the integration of Player First Games into Warner Bros. Discovery will be beneficial for MultiVersus and will allow the game to develop in the most optimal way.
