“War of the Worlds: Siberia”
The previous milestone — 50,000 wishlists — “War of the Worlds: Siberia” surpassed in May 2025, two months after its Steam page appeared. At that time, the game ranked much lower in the wishlist top — at 704th place.
"War of the Worlds: Siberia" is an adventure action game, whose plot is inspired by the iconic novel by Herbert Wells. The game also narrates an invasion of Martians on Earth, but its events unfold in an alternate Russia at the end of the 19th century. The main character must find a way to escape from panic-stricken Petrograd to reach Siberia in hopes of salvation.
“War of the Worlds: Siberia” is being developed by the 1C Games Studios. There is no exact release date yet, but it is expected to be in 2027.
In August, sources from the newspaper “Kommersant” reported that the game had piqued the interest of the Lesta Games group of companies. The developers of "World of Tanks" allegedly considered the possibility of acquiring it along with the creative producer of 1C Games Studios Albert Zhiltsov and his team. However, there have been no official confirmations from either Lesta Games or 1C Games Studios.
