Unity released its financial report for the second quarter of 2026. According to its CEO, Matthew Bromberg, the company achieved its highest performance since its stock market debut in 2020.
- In total, Unity earned $546.5 million from April to June 2026, which is a 24% increase year-over-year.
- Following the established pattern, the lion's share of revenue came from the Grow Solutions business segment, which focuses on monetization tools, amounting to $389 million. This segment saw a growth of 35%.
- The Create Solutions business segment, responsible for engine development, generated the remaining $158 million. This was only a 2% increase from the previous year.
- The main driver of revenue growth was once again the Unity Vector advertising platform, powered by artificial intelligence. The company did not specify exactly how much revenue this platform generated.
- Although Unity still operates at a loss, its net loss significantly reduced in the second quarter, amounting to $23 million. Recall that a year ago, this figure was $107 million.
Amid the strong financial report, Unity's shares rose by 13% in pre-market trading to $40 per share. However, this is still significantly lower compared to their peak when one Unity share was priced at $197 in November 2021.
