Unity and ironSource have officially become one company. This was announced in the official blog by the head of Unity, John Riccitiello.

Riccitello called the deal “transformational.” He stated that mobile developers benefited the most from the merger, since now they have access to a comprehensive platform for the development, publication, support and monetization of their titles. Nevertheless, the head of Unity stressed that the company will continue to develop the functionality needed by developers of games for PC and consoles.

As the deal closed, Unity shares fell 1.5% to $24.78 apiece.
