4A Games Studio and publisher Deep Silver have announced a new sales milestone for the Metro franchise.
Metro 2039
"We're thrilled to announce that the Metro franchise has reached an important milestone — we've sold 50 million copies of the series worldwide. We are extremely proud of how far we've come since the release of our debut game (Metro 2033) 16 years ago, and how players have supported us all this time and grown with us. Our next major release is approaching, and your excitement and enthusiasm mean a lot to us and inspire us every day," wrote Deep Silver on their blog.
As a token of appreciation, the creators of Metro announced a next-gen update for Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux. It will be free for all game owners. The update will enhance graphics, increase frame rates, improve sounds, and generally boost the overall quality of the titles. The patch will be released first on PC — October 22. A little later, on October 29, the next-gen versions of Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
Let's remind you that 4A Games is currently working on Metro 2039. Its release is scheduled for February 4, 2027, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
