Martin Luiga, founder of the ZA/UM Cultural Association and former editor of Disco Elysium, told about this in an interview with GamePressure. He did not disclose what excuse the studio used, but stated that the dismissal was very painful both for the developers themselves and for their loved ones.

Luiga does not know how many people who worked on Disco Elysium remained in the studio. But he doubts that ZA/UM in its current form will develop a continuation of the game.
