Developers reported that they managed to sell 25,000 copies of Hypercharge: Unboxed in less than 24 hours. After three days, sales nearly reached 40,000 copies. As a result, the shooter secured the 18th position in the top paid games on Xbox.

“It still feels surreal. We are a small team of six indie developers who brought our childhood dream game onto Xbox,” Digital Cybercherries wrote on X.

Hypercharge: Unboxed was released in early access on Steam back in 2017. Three years later, it had a full release, becoming available on Nintendo Switch in addition to PC. How many times it was purchased on PC and Nintendo Switch remains unreported. In the future, the developers plan to release Hypercharge: Unboxed on PlayStation consoles, but they are not ready to announce an exact date yet. Tentatively, this will happen in late 2024 - early 2025.
