Meta* decided not to sell the first version of AR glasses. According to The Verge, instead, the company will send them to developers so that they can make applications for the next versions.

It is assumed that the reason was too high costs. According to The Verge, the creation of each device costs Meta* “thousands of dollars”. Also, the company was not satisfied with some of the characteristics of AR glasses, for example, the brightness of the display.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that Meta* refused to release a smartwatch with two cameras.

*The organization’s activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation.
