Seven members of the US Congress have written a letter to Microsoft, Sony, Tencent, Valve, Activision Blizzard and a number of other major gaming companies. They are interested in what exactly they are doing to combat extremism, harassment and other harassment in video games.

In particular, the congressmen asked how such behavior is detected in games, how gamers’ complaints are handled, how many people are involved in solving such problems and whether companies are ready to regularly report on disciplinary measures taken against players.

Axios portal noted that companies are not required to respond to the congressmen’s letter.
