The management of Three Fields Entertainment has informed the entire team about the risk of layoffs due to the studio's financial difficulties.

Wreckreation

The CEO of Three Fields Entertainment, Fiona Sperry, wrote on social media that developers should not expect any revenue from sales of their new game, Wrecknation, released at the end of October, in the foreseeable future. Although Sperry did not mention this, the game's launch was not very successful: it received 60% "mixed" reviews on Steam and reached a peak online presence of only 199 players.

Sperry explained that the studio had funded the development of Wrecknation themselves for most of the year, including creating post-release content, despite having a publisher, THQ Nordic. Without external support, the continued existence of Three Fields Entertainment is in jeopardy.

"By talking about our work publicly, I hope someone sees its potential, and we might still have a chance. But even if this hope is not realized, we want a testament to our small team's vision, strength, passion, and skill to remain. I sincerely believe in the potential of Wreckreation and the talent of the people who created it," Sperry added.

Three Fields Entertainment is a British studio founded in 2014 by the founders of Criterion Games. In addition to Wreckreation, they have developed games such as Lethal VR, Dangerous Driving, Dangerous Golf, and two parts of Danger Zone.
