In 2019, two former developers of the adventure game Night in the Woods, together with a colleague from another gaming company, opened The Glory Society studio. Four years later, the studio announced the suspension and cancellation of its debut game Revenant Hill.

The Glory Society explained that two members of the team had serious health problems, which is why they left the studio indefinitely. This turned out to be a big loss for The Glory Society: not many people work in the studio, and the time and budget for developing the game are limited.

"We are a cooperative, and we make decisions together. For us, it was an obvious way to the well-being of the team, which, frankly, is more important than the games. In the future, when the dust settles, perhaps we will talk about what we have done and what we have learned," said The Glory Society.
