The gaming industry is experiencing ongoing mass layoffs. This time, they've reached PlayerUnknown Productions, the studio opened five years ago by Brendan Greene, the creator of PUBG.

Prologue: Go Wayback!

Greene announced that he can no longer adequately fund his projects. After careful consideration, he decided to restructure the studio, resulting in the layoff of some developers. The exact number of people losing their jobs has not been specified.

Additionally, PlayerUnknown Productions will freeze the development of the survival simulator Prologue: Go Wayback!, which is currently in early access. Soon, the studio plans to release the latest patch for the game and convert it from a paid game (priced at 20 dollars) to a free-to-play model. According to Greene, PlayerUnknown Productions will consider refunding players who have already purchased Prologue: Go Wayback!, but he cannot promise this with certainty at the moment.
