A few days ago, the studio Spiders, along with three other subsidiaries of the publisher Nacon, requested the French court to declare it insolvent. As it turned out, the team's troubles did not end there.

GreedFall: The Dying World

Nacon has decided to sell Spiders and has already posted an announcement seeking a buyer online. The announcement lacks details. For instance, it does not specify the desired amount for the creators of GreedFall, nor the possible terms of the deal — all of this will be discussed with interested companies after signing a non-disclosure agreement.

Nacon plans to accept applications from potential buyers until April 14.

Nacon purchased Spiders in 2019. Under its wing, the studio released two games: Steelrising and GreedFall: The Dying World. The latter was released quite recently — on March 10, 2026 — and received a mixed reception from both critics and gamers.

According to information from the Origami portal, Spiders is currently working on a new game, but its prospects are uncertain. The developers believe that Nacon simply allowed them to occupy themselves with something while organizing the sale.
