On April 6, ROCKFISH Games released the Everspace 2 space shooter after a year of early access. To date, only the Steam version of the game has sold 300 thousand copies and brought developers over $ 9.9 million in gross revenue.
The studio shared the success of the project in a conversation with game expert Simon Carless. We have selected a few numbers:
▪️The net revenue of the Steam version of the game (after payment of the commission to the Valve store, taxes and refands) exceeded $8 million.
Over the entire time, Everspace 2 has collected over a million vishlist.
▪️The peak online Everspace 2 on Steam came close to the mark of 10 thousand people (according to SteamDB, it amounted to 9760 people). This is seven times more than the first part.
▪️In mid-April, the Steam version of Everspace 2 was played daily by 24.5 thousand active users.
In a separate statement, ROCKFISH Games called the game’s release “fantastic.” According to her estimates, the initial circulation of Everspace 2 doubled the circulation of the first Everspace, and the revenue of the sequel was three and a half times higher.
Everspace 2 was released on Steam, GOG and PC Game Pass. In the summer, the shooter will also be released on the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles.
