The game's author, Oleg Kazakov, mentioned this figure during an interview with IXBT Games at the "CONF 2025" festival.

Kazakov recalls that the first Gedonia initially sold less. In fact, from his previous reports, it is known that in the first seven months of early access, Gedonia sold 15,000 copies. However, after the full release, interest in the game significantly increased — in just the first three debut weeks, it was purchased by over 34,000 people.

As of today, Gedonia has sold 150,000 copies. Kazakov noted that the highest sales were in the U.S. (35%), the United Kingdom (30%), and Russia (30%). He did not provide the sales breakdown for Gedonia 2 by country.

The developer also shared that the budget for Gedonia 2 "far exceeded" the budget of the first part, but he did not disclose the exact amounts.

Kazakov is not yet able to say when exactly Gedonia 2 will leave early access, but he estimates that the release is still two to three years away. After that, he wants to work on a new game — not within the Gedonia series. According to him, this will be a small, story-oriented project with a duration of six hours.
