Shinji Hashimoto has decided to retire. Yesterday, he announced that he will no longer work at Square Enix and will now support it only as a fan of games.
Hashimoto joined the Japanese company in April 1994, taking up the position of co-producer of Front Mission. Since then, he has managed to be a producer of the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts franchises, and was also an executive director of Square Enix Holdings.
