Polium has introduced “the world’s first console for Web3 games”. It is equipped with a button for instant access to the crypto wallet. However, the device was criticized online.

The console is called Polium One and “on paper” can run games in 8K HDR and 120 FPS. With the help of a special button on the gamepad, users will be able to access their crypto wallet and sell/buy NFT. The device itself will support such blockchain networks as Polygon, Solana, WAX, Ethereum and Immutable X.

The release of the first batch is scheduled for 2024, and in 2025 the developers want to launch mass production.

The catch is that Polium One does not even have a working prototype — the company has so far presented only a render of the device.

Because of this, users massively criticized the console. Many, in principle, do not understand why a separate device is needed to launch blockchain games, and considered the idea itself fraudulent.

Also, the network drew attention to the similarity of the Polium One logo with the Nintendo GameCube symbolism. The developers eventually promised to introduce a new identity.
