Weappy Studio and publisher THQ Nordic announced reaching the half-million milestone on the game's Steam page. They clarified that this number includes wishlists from all platforms: besides Valve's store, the game can now be added to the wishlist on PlayStation and Xbox.
At the time of writing, The Eternal Life of Goldman climbed to 139th place in the top most anticipated games on Steam, just above Last Harbor, Sea of Remnants, Animula Nook, and SILENT HILL: Townfall.
The Eternal Life of Goldman is a 2D platformer featuring hand-drawn cartoon graphics. The game narrates the story of an elderly hero who embarks on a mysterious archipelago with the goal of finding and killing the local Deity.
The game is being prepared for release on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2. Its debut date is still unknown.
It should be noted that Weappy Studio is part of the GEM Capital group portfolio. The holding company has invested in the developers multiple times: in 2021 ($1.4 million) and in 2024 (the amount was undisclosed). Previously, Weappy Studio was known for games such as Rebel Cops, Hollywood Animal, and the This is the Police series.
In April 2026, Weappy Studio became part of the Nova Assembly holding, which also includes, among others, Unfrozen — creators of Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era — and Sad Cat Studios, creators of REPLACED. The founder of Weappy Studio, Ilya Yanovich, assumed the position of Creative Director at Nova Assembly.
