The previous record was set exactly one week earlier. At that time, 8.9 million people were playing Grow a Garden simultaneously, which already far exceeded the peak online play of any game in Steam's history.

Trends in Grow a Garden’s online presence on Roblox

For comparison, on May 31st, the peak number of concurrent users across all games on Steam was lower than in Grow a Garden—11.33 million. However, the total online presence on Steam, including users who logged onto the platform but were not actively playing, was much higher, reaching 38.16 million people.

On May 20th, analysts from TD Cowen noted that Grow a Garden accounted for up to 30% of Roblox’s entire active audience. According to them, this is an unprecedented achievement. They have seen games attract up to 10% of the platform's active users, but never nearly a third. Since then, the share of Grow a Garden should have grown even further.

It’s possible that Grow a Garden managed to update its online record due to the Bizzy Bees event that started on the last day of May. However, just a day after the event began, the game’s daily online user count dropped to 3.8 million.
