Frostpunk 2: Breach of Trust
The company didn’t specify how the audience was divided between the first Frostpunk and its sequel. It's important to note that the figures include all players, including Game Pass subscribers, so the sales of the series should be lower.
To mark the milestone of reaching 11 million players, 11 bit studios launched a sale on Steam. Until April 20, you can buy the first Frostpunk with a 90% discount, and Frostpunk 2 with a 50% discount.
Additionally, 11 bit studios announced the Breach of Trust expansion for Frostpunk 2, which will take place in a city at the foot of an active volcano, and shared that they are working on a Switch version of the first Frostpunk. Moreover, the company continues to work on Frostpunk: 1886, essentially a reimagining of the original game.
Let us recall that the Frostpunk franchise will soon celebrate its eighth anniversary. The first part of the series was released on April 24, 2018, and the sequel premiered on September 20, 2024. Currently, both games are available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
