The Dying Light franchise has turned ten years old: the first part of the series was released on January 27, 2015. In light of this, the Polish company Techland has shared fresh data about its sales figures.
Dying Light: The Beast
It is reported that as of today, over 45 million people have played Dying Light and Dying Light 2: Stay Human. How the audience is distributed between each project has not been specified. Overall, gamers have spent more than a billion hours in the series' games.
The last time Techland revealed the franchise's sales figures was in January 2023, when it reached 30 million copies sold.
The next game in the franchise will be Dying Light: The Beast, scheduled for release in the summer of 2025 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Two months ago, Techland reported that the new game had been added to over a million wishlists in just 10 weeks. Since then, Dying Light: The Beast should have garnered even more wishlists, but the current figures are unknown.
Additionally, Techland announced that they are working on several unannounced games within the Dying Light universe. In addition to video games, tabletop games and webcomics are also in development.
